When chosing a breed we may like to see where are dog ranks in intelligence. Just because our dog does not rank in the top 10 does not mean it is untrainable or stupid. The higher one ranks, the easier to train but usually the smarter a dog is, the more attention it needs. Smarter dogs usually find ways to entertain itself when alone which may be at the expense of your pillows or favorite shoes.
